Telidon Artworks
Browse the artworks below made by artists experimenting with Telidon technology in the 1980s.
While watching, you'll notice these artworks load sequentially, line by line, layer by layer, object by object. This is the authentic way Telidon graphics are meant to appear. Part of the complexity of the restoration of these artworks was determining how the artists had intended for them to load. Which layer was meant to appear first? What path across the monitor was the line of a face meant to take? In many cases the artists provided feedback during the preservation process however, in some cases, where the artist could not be contacted, restorer John Durno has determined these details himself.
